Florida State’s athletic director has chimed in on coach Mike Norvell’s job security.

The Seminoles haven’t won a game this season, which is raising questions about whether or not Norvell should still be coach. But FSU AD David Coburn chimed in Friday and backed Norvell 100%.

Ah, yes. A vote of confidence. That’s always a good omen, right?

Florida State hung with Notre Dame to open the season, but was stunned by Jacksonville State in Week 2 and most recently lost to Wake Forest in Week 3. The loss to Jacksonville State was where things really got bumpy, especially considering Florida State was favored by 27 points heading into the matchup.

But it sounds like Seminoles fans aren’t going to get the answer they’re looking for about Norvell’s job security. Based on what Coburn said, he’s the guy.

We’ll be sure to revisit this at the end of the season, though.
