Ohio State releases lengthy status report ahead of showdown with Akron

Ohio State is looking to get healthy and get rolling, and a number of Buckeyes will be on the shelf for Week 4.

Entering the weekend, it was already announced that starting QB C.J. Stroud is heading to the bench for the game against Akron. The Buckeyes are expected to utilize a tandem of Kyle McCord and Jack Miller in the game with Stroud reserved for emergency action.

Ohio State will also be without a number of other key players in Week 4. As a reminder, Ohio State does not traditionally reveal why players are out. This group of players could include injured players and players out for rest or other reasons.
