With a strong start, and strong finish, Indiana held on to top Western Kentucky, 33-31 on Saturday night in Bowling Green.
The Hoosiers jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but WKU’s up-tempo offense kept the Hilltoppers in the game. With 458 yards of offense in the game, they outscored IU 24-12 throughout the second and third quarters.
The fourth quarter saw IU hang on to a 26-24 lead, and an 86-yard touchdown drive took 6:19 off the clock to put the Hoosiers up 10. WKU put up a late score, but IU held on to go to 2-2 on the season.
After the game, Hoosiers head coach Tom Allen had some comments about his team.
Allen on Carr: "He has an amazing attitude … He just has a great heart and he cares about people. He's a great fit for us."

Allen: "Don't know about D.J. for sure, but it's his knee, but it doesn't look good." Said it looks like Jaylin Williams has a concussion and will have to go through protocol. He hit his head when he was trying to tackle the receiver on the big throw.
