Pittsburgh Steelers rookie tight end Pat Freiermuth found the end zone a Penn State record 16 times during his time as a Nittany Lion.
It only took until Week 3 for the rookie to do so wearing Steelers Black and Gold. The score came on a short screen pass that required Freiermuth to fight through some initial hard contact.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit Freiermuth for his first NFL touchdown during the final two minutes of Sunday’s first half against the Bengals.
A second-round pick by the Steelers in the 2021 NFL Draft, Freiermuth has had his playing time and involvement slowly grow over the first two weeks. He had one catch on one target in Week 1 and went on to have four catches on four targets in Week 2.
Freiermuth collected 1,185 career receiving yards at Penn State, to rank 26th overall and third among tight ends in program history. He also had 92 career receptions, and finished his career having caught a pass in 29-straight games.
