Return of Air Barkley: Saquon goes airborne for first TD since devastating knee injury

After missing nearly all of the 2020 season due to an injury, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has returned to the field for this season — and has now returned to the end zone.

Barkley’s absence from the end zone ended during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
From a yard out, Barkley went up and over to give the Giants a 12-7 lead over the Falcons. Quarterback Daniel Jones ran for a two-point conversion to extend their lead to seven points with under 13 minutes left to play in the game.
Barkley suffered a tear to his ACL in the second game of the 2020 season, and the last time he managed to reach the end zone was during a 34-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17 of the 2019 season.
A second-round pick by the Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft, Barkley was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and earned a Pro Bowl nod after the 2018 season, but has been plagued by injuries.
