Former Illinois kicker Chase McLaughlin appears to have found his home in the NFL.
McLaughlin went 4-for-4 on field goals, helping his Cleveland Browns to a 26-6 win over the Chicago Bears. His longest of the day was an impressive 57-yarder that tied the game early in the second quarter.

That’s the longest field goal by a Browns kicker since 1984, according to Tony Grossi.
Chase McLaughlin's 57y FG was Browns longest since Steve Cox straight-ahead booted a 60y v Bengals in 1984. It was Sam Rutigliano's last game as coach.

He’s now made 10 consecutive field goals at home.
The Browns are McLaughlin’s sixth NFL team in the last 2+ seasons. He spent time with the Colts, Chargers and 49ers during his rookie year in 2019. He was with the Jaguars and Jets for short stints in 2020 before signing with the Browns for 2021.
He’s now 27-of-33 on field goals and has missed just one extra point attempt in his career.
The Browns face Minnesota on the road next week as they’ll try to improve to 3-1 on the season.
