Ohio State receiver Garrett Wilson has been named “Buck of the Week” by the program for Week 4.

Wilson had 4 catches and a team-high 124 receiving yards in the Buckeyes’ 59-7 win over Akron on Saturday.

Here’s the announcement and a short interview with Wilson that was released on Tuesday afternoon:

Part of Wilson’s big game on Saturday included an impressive stiff-arm downfield against an Akron defender. Wilson was asked about the play during his Buck of the Week interview.

“That’s coach Mick right there,” Wilson said, referencing Ohio State assistant athletic director for football performance Mickey Marotti. “I started to take a different mindset into the weight room the last couple months … it’s paying off a little bit.”

So far this season, Wilson has 23 catches for 391 yards and 3 touchdowns in 4 games. He’s averaging 17 yards per reception.

Ohio State travels to face Rutgers this week. Kick off is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
