The semifinalists for the William Campbell Trophy have been named and the B1G is well-represented. The B1G has 13 players on the list of 176.

Those players are:

Doug Kramer, C, Illinois; Jack Tuttle, QB, Indiana; Zach VanValkenburg, DL, Iowa; Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan; AJ Arcuri, OT, Michigan State; Conner Olson, OL, Minnesota; Ben Stille, DE, Nebraska; Sam Gerak, OL, Northwestern; Jeremy Ruckert, TE, Ohio State; Sean Clifford, QB, Penn State; Zander Horvath, RB, Purdue; Noah Vedral, QB, Rutgers; Matt Henningsen, DL, Wisconsin

The Campbell Trophy is described as recognizing “an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.”

Each of the semifinalists is receiving an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship.

This is the 32nd year of the Campbell Trophy, which is named after the late Bill Campbell, an Ivy League legend. Last year’s winner was Memphis’ Brady White. The last B1G player to capture the award was Penn State’s John Urschel in 2013.
