With a 4-0 start and No. 4 ranking, so far so good.
Senior linebacker Jesse Luketa said this was one of the best offseasons during his time with the program:
Jesse Luketa said the team’s leadership council told James Franklin that Penn State needed a challenging, difficult offseason, and that it led to one of the best offseasons since he’s been a Nittany Lion.

The 6-foot-3, 247-pound Luketa has amassed 14 solo tackles and an interception this season.
Penn State is coming off a 38-17 victory vs. Villanova. Penn State has also defeated Wisconsin, Ball State, and Auburn this season.
Next up for Penn State is a conference matchup vs. visiting Indiana on Oct. 2 (7:30 p.m. EST/ABC). Indiana won last season’s meeting but Penn State leads the all-time series 22-2.
