What Ryan Day said during his weekly show ahead of B1G matchup vs. Rutgers

Ohio State will look to extend its winning streak to three games when they travel to face B1G opponent Rutgers in Week 5.

Ohio State (3-1) is coming off a convincing 59-7 victory vs. in-state opponent Akron. Ohio State coach Ryan Day addressed the media on Sept. 30 and touched on a variety of topics.

Ryan Day on his radio show about C.J. Stroud: “C.J.’s had a good week of work. Looking forward to getting him back on the field this week.”

Day said C Harry Miller will be eased back into action. He’s been out all season for unspecified health reasons.

Day said WR Julian Fleming “has been banged up.” Said he hopes to have him back soon. Fleming had shoulder injuries early in his career. At end of camp, he said the shoulder was fine, so don’t know if that’s the issue now.

Rutgers (3-1) lost its first game of the season last week in a narrow 20-13 defeat at Michigan. Ohio State leads the all-time series 7-0 vs. Rutgers.

Ohio State-Rutgers is slated for Oct. 2 (3:30 p.m. EST) and will be televised on the BTN.
