Purdue lost to Minnesota on Saturday afternoon, but that didn’t impact cheerleader morale too much.

It was a rainy day in West Lafayette, and the cheerleaders took advantage of that. During the fourth quarter, one cheerleader decided to to do a direct belly flop into a puddle.

Here’s the clip:

You don’t often see that sort of enthusiasm in those types of weather conditions.

As for the game itself, Purdue struggled. Minnesota scored an early touchdown and then was able to pull away in the second half. The Boilermakers didn’t score after halftime, eventually losing 20-13.

Purdue is now 3-2 on the season with losses to Notre Dame and the Golden Gophers.

Aidan O’Connell completed 33-of-51 passes for 357 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Running back King Doerue carried the ball 21 times for 95 yards.

Purdue out-gained Minnesota 434-294, but two turnovers kept the Boilermakers from putting more points on the board.

Purdue is off next week before traveling to face Iowa on the road on Oct. 16.
