Michigan’s recruiting class for 2022 is being dealt a loss.

4-star pass rusher Mario Eugenio announced on Twitter that he’s decommiting from the program.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Eugenio originally selected Michigan over Iowa State, Arizona State, Arkansas, and Appalachian State. Eugenio is the nation’s No. 14 edge rusher and the No. 33 prospect from Florida, according to the 247Sports composite.

Michigan’s Class of 2022 is currently ranked 16th nationally and third in the B1G, according to 247Sports.

No. 9 Michigan is coming off a 38-17 victory at Wisconsin in Week 5. Next up for Michigan is a road contest at Nebraska on Oct. 9 (7:30 p.m. EST/ABC). Nebraska routed Northwestern 56-7 last weekend.

Michigan leads the all-time series 5-4-1 vs. Nebraska. Michigan won the last meeting with a dominant 56-10 victory at home in 2018.
