Maryland is dealing with the injury bug in a big way this week.

Last week it was star receiver Dontay Demus Jr. who went down with a season-ending knee injury. Now, it’s his replacement — Jeshaun Jones — who is hurt.

Jones had to be carted off the field during the first quarter of Maryland’s game vs. Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday.

Jones has had injury issues before. He missed the entire 2019 campaign due to a torn left ACL that he suffered in fall camp of that year.

He has 50 catches for 687 yards and 6 touchdowns in his Maryland career. 5 of those touchdowns came during his freshman season in 2018. He has 218 yards this season, but has yet to score a touchdown in 2021.

Maryland is looking for its first-ever win over Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 6-0 all-time in that series.

The Terps currently hold a 3-0 lead over Ohio State mid-way through the first quarter.
