Nebraska lost another heartbreaker in the Scott Frost era on Saturday night.
The Cornhuskers had the Wolverines on the ropes for virtually the entire 2nd half, especially after Michigan was outscored 22-6 in the 3rd quarter.
After that, both teams traded blows but it was Michigan who got the last laugh. Its defense forced a crucial turnover late in the 4th quarter and then won on a game-winning field goal, 32-29.
Head coach Scott Frost spoke to the media after the game ended and as anyone could expect, he was deflated.
Scott Frost: "We’re so close. One more play. One more stop."
Said he didn't think NU would win the game with field goals, related to that first drive.

Frost says he doesn't worry about a letdown coming off a long, physical game like this with a trip to Minnesota standing between the #Huskers and a bye week. Why? "These guys love each other." He says he loves coaching this team.

Scott Frost: "For as bad as I want this to work for our coaching staff, I want it more for our players and for this state. We've got a really good team. I'm so proud of them."

Frost: "I didn't think we were going to win the game with field goals. We'd been really good in the red zone on the 1-and-2-yard line." Said he wanted his guys playing aggressive.
