As disappointing a year as 2020 was for the B1G, 2021 has rebounded in a big way and with the results of the latest AP Top-25 Poll, the tale is definitely in the tape.
For the first time ever, the B1G has five teams ranked in the Top-10 of the AP Poll:
- No. 2 Iowa
- No. 6 Ohio State
- No. 7 Penn State
- No. 8 Michigan
- No. 10 Michigan State
POLL ALERT: Georgia a unanimous No. 1 in latest AP Top 25, grabbing regular-season top spot for first time since 1982; Iowa, Cincinnati, Oklahoma and Alabama next; Big Ten has five top-10 teams for first time ever.

No. 2 Iowa is now just a tick away from the top spot after they put up 10 unanswered points in the final period on Saturday to secure their win over now No. 7 Penn State — who only dropped three spots from last week’s fourth position.
No. 6 Ohio State and No. 8 Michigan now sandwich the Nittany Lions in the lower half of the top 10 spots, after the Buckeyes completely dismantled Maryland, 66-17, and the Wolverines survived a scare at Nebraska, 32-29.
Michigan State jumped into the top-10 at the No. 10 spot after a running (or more specifically throwing) all over Rutgers on the road Saturday.
