Fans aren’t happy with the B1G after Iowa P Tory Taylor wasn’t named Special Teams Player of the Week

Published:
Iowa punter Tory Taylor had himself a game this week against Penn State.
Taylor had 5 punts for 222 yards, averaging 44.4 yards per kick. He pinned Penn State inside the 15-yard line multiple times, giving the Hawkeyes defense a huge boost.
So when he wasn’t the B1G Special Teams Player of the Week this week, fans wondered why. The award went to Michigan kicker Jacob Moody, who made some big kicks against Nebraska — none bigger than the one to give the Wolverines the win. But Taylor played a huge role in Iowa’s victory in the top-4 showdown and by pinning Penn State in bad field position, it allowed the Hawkeye defense to step up and make big plays.
Iowa fans — and B1G fans, for that matter — took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the selection. Here are some of the best responses:
Excuse me @bigten are you drunk? https://t.co/9WMHA8XQOI

I’m convinced that these awards are selected while someone is drunk. https://t.co/woGbhzQKnN
