It has been a wild ride this early into the 2021 NFL season for former Ohio State Buckeye and Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields.

In his third start of the season for Chicago, Fields had an injury scare when he hyperextended his left knee on a non-contact play in the game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Fields came out of the game but came back two plays later for Chicago.

The Bears would go on to defeat Las Vegas on the road 20-9 behind a performance that head coach Matt Nagy praised as tough after missing only two plays. Fields passed for 111 yards, 1 touchdown, no interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 91.9 (the highest of his career) on 12-for-20 passing.

According to reporter Tom Pelissero, Fields underwent tests on Monday for the knee he hyperextended. He is reportedly good to go as Chicago prepares for a big NFC North matchup when they host the Green Bay Packers (4-1).
