Clemson is off to a rocky start for the first time in years. They are outside the AP Top 25; they are 3-2 and 2-1 in ACC play.

They have wins over FCS South Carolina State, Georgia Tech and Boston College. Their two losses are against No. 1 Georgia and NC State.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is making headlines again about not liking the new age of college football.

Swinney talked about using the transfer portal if a coach could not get the top high school players.

“If I was at some school where you couldn’t recruit the really best of the best high school kids,” said Swinney. “I probably would sign only transfers and that’s what a lot of people I think are going to do. Which I think is sad.”

Swinney has talked about the new age of college football regarding NIL and the transfer portal.

Often, it seems  his comments fall on deaf ears and it seems like an old man yelling at the clouds.

Clemson goes on the road to face Syracuse this Friday at 7:00 ET on ESPN.
