Michigan State travels to Bloomington in Week 7, and BTN analyst Joshua Perry likes the matchup for Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III.

Perry was very complimentary of Walker’s early work this season. He labeled the Wake Forest transfer one of the best backs in the country and truly believes Walker will be in New York for the Heisman ceremony.

“The RB has done an outstanding job this year,” said Perry. “Obviously one of the best in the country, should be in New York at the end of the year, but here’s the reason why he has to get cooking.”

Perry went on to explain that Indiana will be looking for big turnovers in order to pull off the upset of the Spartans. If Michigan State can grind it out with Walker and shorten the game, it should be a 7-0 start for Mel Tucker:

“If Indiana has any chance of winning this football game, I think they have to turn Michigan State over,” said Perry. “They’re going to have to get some explosive plays, some pick-sixes…that’s where Kenneth Walker comes in. If they can pound the ball on the ground, just give it to that man and let him do what he does best. He will be cooking this weekend.”

Walker is coming off a 200-yard outing against Rutgers, his second game of 200+ rushing yards of the season. Can he keep things rolling against the Hoosiers?
