It’s not a stretch to say Purdue shocked the college football world last week.

The Boilermakers went into Kinnick Stadium and shocked No. 2-ranked Iowa 27-7 on Saturday. The victory vaulted Purdue into the AP Top 25 and dropped the Hawkeyes to No. 11 in this week’s poll.

So it’s no surprise that Purdue was named the Cheez-It Bowl Team of the Week.

Purdue came out with an interesting strategy offensively against Iowa, using all three quarterbacks on the roster. Aidan O’Connell was the primary passer, completing 30 of 40 passes for 375 yards and 2 touchdowns. David Bell had a huge day, as well, tallying a career-high 240 yards on 11 catches and a touchdown.

Now, the Boilermakers will have to build off that performance now that it’s in the AP Top 25. Next up? Wisconsin in West Lafayette on Saturday.
