Maryland to be without 2 key starters for the rest of the season

It’s gone from bad to worse for Maryland this college football season.
After the Terps got blown out in 2 straight games by Iowa and Ohio State, they got the news that receiver Jeshaun Jones and linebacker Durrell Nchami have been lost for the season.
The report first came from Emily Giambalvo of the Washington Post as Locksley confirmed that they both will need surgery.
Jones suffered a leg injury during Maryland’s game against OSU on Oct. 9 and had to leave on the cart. It occurred on just the 2nd play of the game. Nchami also was injured in that game with what is being described as an upper-body injury.
The Terps will now be without 2 of their top 3 receivers for the rest of the season as Dontay Demus Jr. had surgery for an injury earlier in the season. Jones will finish the season with 18 receptions for 224 yards and no touchdown.
Nchami didn’t start much this season, but this injury will still hurt the Terps’ depth at the linebacker position. He finishes the year with 9 total tackles (7 solo) with 3 sacks and a forced fumble.
