Boilermakers receiver David Bell has nabbed another national honor after his stellar performance against Iowa this past Saturday.

The Rose Bowl named Bell their Big Ten Player of the Week after he had 240 receiving yards on 11 catches during that upset win. Bell also had a career-high in yardage and had the 2nd most yards in school history.

On Tuesday morning, Bell also was named the Maxwell Player of the Week for that performance.

He’s averaging 135.8 yards per game this season, which leads the B1G. He also has 38 receptions for 679 yards and 4 touchdowns and there’s still half of a season to go.

His performance helped vault the Boilermakers into the AP Top-25 for the first time in 14 years.

Bell will look to continue his outstanding season when Purdue welcomes Wisconsin to West Lafayette this Saturday. Kickoff will be at 3 p.m. ET.
