Ohio State picks up verbal pledge from in-state OL
Ohio State’s 2022 recruiting class continues to grow.
The Buckeyes received a verbal pledge from Avery Henry on Wednesday morning, a native of Saint Clairsville, Ohio. The 6-foot-6, 305-pound offensive lineman received an offer from Ohio State just two days before making his announcement on social media.

Henry picked Ohio State over offers from 5 other programs, including 3 at the Power 5 level. Also interested in the Ohio native were Iowa State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Akron and Eastern Michigan.
Per 247Sports Composite, Henry ranks as one of the Top 50 players out of the state of Ohio. He is a 3-star offensive tackle and becomes the 16th player of the cycle to commit to the Buckeyes.
Ohio State’s class currently ranks No. 2 in the B1G and No. 5 nationally.
