Ryan Day says CFB should change hash mark location

Published:
Last week, Ryan Day recently suggested a new rule change. He did it again this week, requesting a modification on the field itself.
During his weekly radio show on Oct. 21, the Ohio State coach advocated for the hashmarks to resemble the NFL’s version, which would move them closer to the middle of the field.
Day doesn’t think college hashmarks reflect the modern era:
Ryan Day said he thinks the hashmarks should be moved closer to the middle of the field in college football like they are in NFL, and said he has even considered pushing for that in the offseason. He believes the college hashmarks have become “antiquated” as the game has changed.

No. 5 Ohio State is currently tied for second with No. 6 Michigan behind No. 9 Michigan State in the B1G East. The Buckeyes are coming off a bye week and will travel to face Indiana on Oct. 23 (7:30 p.m. EST/ABC).
Ohio State leads the all-time series 76-12-5 vs. Indiana and has a 25-game winning streak vs. the Hoosiers. Indiana’s last victory vs. Ohio State in the series was in 1988.
