Indiana basketball is right around the corner and the season opener will actually have an even earlier start time now. Indiana announced on its Twitter account that the season opener vs. visiting Eastern Michigan on Nov. 9 is changing to a 6 p.m. (EST) start time.

The contest will be televised on the BTN.

Indiana posted a 12-15 record last season in the final campaign for former coach Archie Miller. It was Indiana’s first losing season since 2010-11.

The 63-year-old Woodson is an Indiana alum who has served as an NBA head coach with the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks. Former Ohio State coach Thad Matta will now serve as Associate AD for Men’s Basketball Administration at Indiana. Woodson previously said talks and meetings with Matta have helped in transitioning to the college game.

Indiana will begin B1G play when they welcome visiting Nebraska on Dec. 4 (time TBD/BTN).
