Well, that sure looked easy.
After Indiana tied the game at 7 apiece, Ohio State rattled off 47 straight points and cruised to a 54-7 victory over the Hoosiers. The Buckeyes scored 44 points in the first half alone, marking the fourth time they scored 30 or more points in the first half this season — the most in the FBS.
It was another strong performance from CJ Stroud. He completed 21 of 28 passes for 266 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the offensive charge. But the run game had some big contributions, too, led by TreVeyon Henderson’s 81 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. He also had a 14-yard touchdown reception, bringing him to 3 total touchdowns on the night.
The Buckeyes defense showed up, as well, holding the Hoosiers totaled 128 yards — 80 of which came from the passing game. It was a dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day met the media after the game to talk about the game and what lies ahead as his team improved to 4-0 in B1G action. Here’s what he had to say:
Ryan Day said it kind of felt like 2019 again tonight with how the defense gave Ohio State's offense good field position.

Ryan Day: "I just think it's a different team. When you practice well, you have confidence because you've done it. … A lot of confidence in the defense now."

"We have so many weapons, but guys have to be unselfish." Ryan Day says Jeremy Ruckert has been "doing the dirty work" when the ball hasn't come his way, but that "eventually it's gonna come back to you."

Ryan Day said TreVeyon Henderson is “all good” after he was held out on Ohio State’s opening series.

Day said the #Buckeyes’ standard is really high and they are hard on themselves when things go wrong. He said they have to get back to work and the biggest challenge of the year is coming next week against Penn State.
