Another Ohio State freshman has earned the right to call himself a Buckeye.
This week, Ohio State announced that freshman offensive lineman Zen Michalski shed his black stripe at the midway point of the season. The social media team in Columbus posted a video of the announcement.
Michalski was a member of Ohio State’s 2021 recruiting class and was an early enrollee. The news comes as the Buckeyes prepare for a Top 25 showdown against Penn State.

Michalski is a 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive lineman out of Indiana. He was a 4-star member of the 2021 recruiting cycle, ranking as the No. 22 offensive tackle and the No. 4 prospect out of his home state.
It’s always an achievement when a player loses his black stripe in Columbus. Certainly, Michalski was fired up about the opportunity to call himself a Buckeye.
