Nebraska head coach Scott Frost and the Huskers football team returned to work this week after their first bye week of the season. With a 3-5 overall record, and 1-4 mark in the conference it hasn’t been an easy ride through the last couple months for Frost.

While the team and coaches are looking ahead to the matchup with Purdue, rumors, speculation and chatter about changes in the coaching staff have peppered social media.

Nebraska Athletic Director Trev Alberts was asked during his monthly radio show about the situation with the coaching staff, and deflected his response.

Taking a hands-on approach to the AD spot, Alberts makes a point to attend football practice even for short periods a few times per week. to get a sense of how things are going. He stopped by practice on Tuesday to observe a full-padded practice.

It’s likely Alberts has a plan in store for the future of the Huskers sideline, but for now, he’s not talking to anyone about it.

The Huskers host Purdue in Lincoln on Saturday, Oct. 30 with a 2:30 PM kickoff.
