The award annually recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award.
During the Spartans 20-15 win over Indiana, Reed had four catches for 70 yards. He added two kick returns for 24 yards and two punt returns for 11 yards to finish with a game-high 105 all-purpose yards. Reed’s total marked his fourth game this season with at least 100 all-purpose yards.
On the season, Reed has 562 receiving yards with 27 catches with 5 touchdowns.
The Spartans host in-state rival Michigan on Saturday. They are looking for their 10th win in the last 14 meetings against the Wolverines. The two teams have met 114 times, and kickoff is set for 12:00 PM on Saturday, Oct. 30.
