Nebraska will need to win out from this point on to make a bowl game. It won’t get any easier to do now that No. 6 Ohio State is coming to town. The Buckeyes are 8-1 against the Cornhuskers all-time. The last time the Cornhuskers beat Ohio State was in 2011, which was their first year in the conference.
Nebraska definitely had some chances to take control of the game against Purdue. However, Adrian Martinez threw four interceptions, including a pick-6 that really kept them from getting any sort of momentum during the game.
Regardless of the turnovers, Nebraska still only lost 28-23.
Omar Manning was one of the few bright spots for the Cornhuskers. Manning had 75 yards receiving with a touchdown on the day.
Scott Frost gave another incredible press conference per usual. Frost talked about his quarterback, the future of his program, and how close his team is to having a breakthrough. Frost has yet to get his first win against Ohio State during his tenure at Nebraska.
Here’s what Frost said at his weekly press conference:
Nebraska coach Scott Frost says the interceptions thrown Saturday by QB Adrian Martinez were uncharacteristic of his play this year. “I really want him to have the experience where he comes through and wins us a big game,” Frost said. pic.twitter.com/4bMVO40vJp

Scott Frost on rumors & speculation about his job: “you learn as a coach to ignore those things” Says he owes it to the team and staff to give them his all and not pay attention to any of that. “I really thought this year it would pop, and we’ve been so close” pic.twitter.com/3uA7nxQ3GV
