Ryan Day doesn’t care what the records say. He’s not prepared to take it easy this weekend against a 3-6 Nebraska team on Saturday in Lincoln.
The Ohio State head coach believes the Huskers are really dangerous.
On Tuesday, Day met with reporters to talk about Saturday’s win over Penn State and preview next weekend’s matchup against Nebraska. Though the Huskers have struggled to put tallies in the win column this fall, Day says he’s seen some really good things from the team on film.
Day referred to Nebraska as a “very good football team,” despite its poor record. He also said the Scott Frost has the team “really close,” falling short in several games.

All 6 of Nebraska’s losses have come in one-possession games this season. The Huskers have had tough bouts against Oklahoma, Michigan and Michigan State, all teams ranked in the Top 10.
Ohio State enters the game with a 7-1 record, with its lone loss coming in Week 2 to Oregon. The Buckeyes had been dominating opponents every week until last Saturday’s 33-24 victory over Penn State. On paper, it looks like Ohio State would cruise to a win.
But the games aren’t played on paper. Day reiterated that strange things have happened all across the country this season. He doesn’t want something whacky to happen to his team Saturday in Lincoln.
The Buckeyes won’t be taking the Huskers lightly.
