The biggest takeaway when looking over the results is pretty clear. Cincinnati currently ranks No. 2 in the Associated Press Poll and would rank No. 2 on the BCS model, while sliding in at No. 6 in the CFP ranks. Rather than the Bearcats reaping the rewards of being one of the six remaining undefeated teams, the slide to the sixth spot jumped out.
Undefeated Oklahoma also came in at No. 8, which is a drop from the No. 3 spot the Sooners would occupy in the BCS. Their near-loss to Kansas along with their sloppy, inconsistent play clearly led to the result.
A pair of one-loss teams ranked in the top-4 of the CFP rankings, with No. 2 Alabama and No. 4 Oregon in the spots. Alabama came in the No. 4 spot in the BCS rankings, while the Ducks are down at No. 9.
But, the Playoff is a full two months away, so stay tuned.
