The Dallas Cowboys are looking good so far this season. After last weekend, the Cowboys are riding a six game win-streak and look to have a clear shot at the NFC East title.
Aside from the already established names like Prescott, Elliott and Cooper, a new name in Dallas is making the news – Micah Parsons.
Parsons was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 8 after the Cowboys 20-16 win over Minnesota. The former Penn State standout linebacker had 10 solo tackles, 4 tackles for loss against the Vikings, making him the first rookie to do so. His reaching season totals of 40 tackles, 10 QB hits and 2 passes defended in his first 7 games is an NFL first.

At Penn State, Parsons tied for seventh all-time in program history with six forced fumbles. He also finished tied for fifth with four forced fumbles. After his sophomore season at Penn State, Parsons in August of 2020 that he was forgoing his remaining eligibility and entered the 2021 NFL Draft.
Parsons was a first round pick by the Cowboys, chosen 12th overall.
