Missed PI call? Ohio State gets away with contact on crucial third-down for Nebraska

Nebraska is trying to get the one-score monkey off its back against No. 5 Ohio State, but a crucial no-call went the way of the Buckeyes late in the fourth quarter.

With the Huskers trailing by 6 points and trying to drive the field, quarterback Adrian Martinez dropped back to pass on third down. He saw Omar Manning cutting across the field and tried to hit him near the first-down marker.

Unfortunately, Manning took contact from an Ohio State defender that took Manning to the ground before the pass arrived. There was nothing else Manning could do as the ball fell helplessly to the turf.

Many felt the contact was clear and obvious for pass interference, but the officiating crew did not oblige. No penalty was called as Nebraska punted the ball away trailing 23-17.
