Former B1G assistant coach John Donovan has been let go by the Washington Huskies.
Head coach Jimmy Lake has parted ways with Donovan, who was the offensive coordinator. He had been with the program since 2019 after working with the Jacksonville Jaguars for 4 years prior to that.
Wide receivers coach Junior Adams will be calling the plays for the rest of the season.

Donovan was with Maryland for several years and worked closely with Penn State head coach James Franklin. Before Franklin took the Vanderbilt job, Donovan was the running backs coach (2008-10) while Franklin was the offensive coordinator for the Terps.
When Franklin left to coach Vanderbilt, he took Donovan with him and Donovan served as Franklin’s OC from 2011-13. Donovan also served as Franklin’s OC from 2014-15 while Franklin was the head man at Penn State.
We’ll have to see if Donovan finds his way back to the B1G after this season.
