Wisconsin is on a roll. The Badgers have now won five straight since losing to Michigan in Week 4.
This win over Rutgers puts them at 6-3 with a real shot of still competing for the B1G West title. However, the win won’t come without a setback or two.
Chez Mellusi suffered some sort of knee injury in the third quarter of the Rutgers game. Wisconsin’s Paul Chryst now has Mellusi listed as questionable ahead of the Northwestern game.
The update was announced on Twitter Monday morning.
#Badgers Chez Mellusi “questionable” this week. It appears he avoided a serious injury but UW RB coach Gary Brown may have to adapt — again. https://t.co/ampZaRcPma

After Jalen Berger transferred earlier in October, Mellusi and Braelon Allen have gotten the job done for the Badgers the past five weeks. Mellusi rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown in the win over Rutgers before getting injured. In the 2021 season, he has 815 yards rushing with five touchdowns.
It’ll be interesting to watch how this could potentially effect the running game up in Madison.
