Texas walked into Ames on Saturday hoping for a win. That’s not the result that the Longhorns got.
The Longhorns suffered one of their worst losses of the year against Iowa State, losing 30-7. Texas led the Cyclones 7-3 in the second quarter, then were outscored 27-0 the rest of the game.
After the loss, a video was posted on social media of what defensive line coach Bo Davis said on the bus ride back to Austin.

Texas DL coach Bo Davis with some choice words following Texas’ no-show in Ames. Refreshing to hear someone with some passion for winning other than the old “winning is hard” BS. Fire em up! #HookEm pic.twitter.com/NA24NIuDwD

Davis was seen in the video telling some of the players that they need to go into the transfer portal, and was very frustrated with the team.
This is Davis’ second stint at Texas coaching the defensive line. He originally coached there from 2011 to 2013 for Mack Brown. Davis came back to Texas to coach with the arrival of new head coach Steve Sarkisian for the 2021 season.
We’ll see how Texas football responds to this video surfacing.
