Nebraska will be down one of its long-time leaders for the rest of the season. Cornhuskers senior outside linebacker JoJo Domann has played his last game with the program.

Domann penned a heartfelt farewell to Nebraska after announcing that he underwent surgery to repair a ruptured tendon on his left hand:

As Nebraska coach Scott Frost noted following the game vs. Ohio State, this isn’t an opt-out situation for the 6-foot-1, 230-pound Domann. Frost indicated Domann had played through an injury and had a decision to make about the final 2 games. Now, we know that decision.

Domann amassed 131 solo tackles, 5.5 sacks, 16 pass deflections, nine forced fumbles, and two interceptions during his six seasons with the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska football is 3-7 overall, seventh place in the B1G West, and will return to action on Nov. 20 at Wisconsin.
