Indiana’s nightmare season continues, and now players are getting heated on the sidelines.

Both players are on the punt team together and went out together without causing a scene, according to a report. It seemed that tempers flared but were addressed appropriately.
Dustin Dopirak of the IndyStar and the Bloomington-Herald Times provides more context on the situation:
For what it’s worth, Matthews and Hendershot are on the punt team together and they just went out there together went out incident. So there’s that. Don’t think Matthews has specific beef with Hendershot. Think he’s just pissed at (gestures at the whole season.)

Rutgers was steamrolling Indiana 24-3 in the middle of the 3rd quarter when the exchange happened. Indiana is 2-7 on the season and 0-6 in the B1G this year. It’s hard to believe at one point, Indiana was in the preseason AP Top-25 poll.
Indiana finishes the season with a home game against Minnesota and on the road against bitter rival Purdue as they try not go winless in the B1G.
