Penn State will be without two key players in the Rose Bowl on Monday.

The Lions announced that they suspended linebacker Manny Bowen and wide receiver Saeed Blacknall for a violation of team rules. A team spokesperson confirmed that news to Pennlive.com.

It’s uncertain what exactly the suspension was for. Both Bowen and Blacknall played critical roles in the Lions’ comeback victory in the B1G Championship.

Blacknall had a career-high 155 yards receiving and two touchdowns while Bowen had six tackles in the stunning win.

On the season, Blacknall had 15 catches for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Bowen was tied for fourth on the team with 68 tackles, 8.5 of which were for loss.

The Lions will take on USC in the Rose Bowl on Monday at 5 p.m. ET.
