Ryan Day has said it before, and he said it again on Tuesday afternoon. Saturday’s matchup against a Top 10 opponent is the reason people come to Ohio State.
Saturday’s showdown will be a matchup featuring a pair of Top 10 teams, both sitting at 9-1 on the season and a chance to add a statement win to the resume. ESPN’s College GameDay will be in town. A B1G division title is hanging in the balance, as is a potential trip to the College Football Playoff.
It’s B1G football at its finest.
“This is why you come to Ohio State.”
Day talked about playing top-10 matchups on a national scene with ESPN College GameDay broadcasting Saturday’s game against No. 7 Michigan State.

Ohio State is the only team in the B1G without a conference loss. While Michigan State took down in-state rival Michigan a few weeks ago, the Spartans dropped a road contest to Purdue.
The Buckeyes are coming off a blowout victory over the Boilermakers.
With Ohio State and Michigan State both owning explosive offenses, there’s an expectation to see plenty of fireworks. It should be an incredibly fun game in Columbus.
