B1G officials had an embarrassing gaffe before the first play of Michigan State-Ohio State

The officiating that has been witnessed in the B1G throughout the course of the season has been suspect at best at times through the 2021 season. Surely, though, the conference would have the cream of the crop in Columbus for a Top 10 showdown between No. 7 Michigan State and No. 4 Ohio State, right?
Well, fans are probably a little skeptical. During the coin toss, there was a hilarious gaffe from the official.
“Michigan State, you’re the visitors, right? “said the ref according to Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch.
“Michigan State, you’re the visitors, right?” That’s how officials started coin toss. MSU wins toss, defers. OSU to get the ball first.

Maybe the official just forgot he was in the state of Ohio.
Michigan State is, in fact, the visitor for today’s game. The Spartans won the toss and deferred to the second half, and Ohio State started with the ball.
