No. 7 Michigan State got blown out of the water Saturday at The Shoe. The Buckeyes defeated the Spartans 56-7, ending the Spartans’ hopes of winning a B1G title in Columbus.
Mel Tucker spoke to the media today after the blowout loss, certainly disappointed by the outcome. Ohio State looked like the better team immediately out of the gate, giving Michigan State very little hop.
Here is everything Tucker had to say following the disappointing loss:
Tucker says Kenneth Walker III “is a little banged up right now.” Did not respond if that is why the RB only had seven touches today.

Tucker on locker room talk (1/2): “What did I tell them? I said, listen, we win as a team & we lose as a team. I told them what’s most important is what’s next. And what’s next is we have to get on the video and we have to look at it and see exactly what it is, the truth.

Tucker (2/2): “…Where were the breakdowns? Why? Who? And then own that. There’s no excuses. And then we have to fix those things. But in order to do that, you can’t make excuses. You have to be accountable to yourself and your teammates.”

Tucker: “We’re not in the finger-pointing business.” Says if he sees any of that “or fellowship of the miserable” that since he is “running the program, then you’re gone. Because we don’t operate like that.”
