Cardale Jones and Darron Lee were key pieces on the 2014-15 squad that won the first College Football Playoff National Championship.

On Saturday night, however, they had no impact on anything that happened at the Fiesta Bowl. Now NFL rookies, they were forced to watch Ohio State get pummeled 31-0 by Clemson. It was Urban Meyer’s first shutout ever as a coach, and it was OSU’s first goose egg since 1993.

The play-calling was a major source of frustration for the former Buckeyes. Jones took to Twitter during the game to share his frustrations:

Lee waited until after the game ended to voice his opinions. He didn’t have any problem calling out the play-calling of his program, either:

Ohio State did have the youngest team in America, though it looked a long way off on Saturday night. Was that entirely on the coaching staff?

Jones and Lee certainly believed so.
