NFL bound? George Karlaftis, David Bell taking part in Purdue’s Senior Day festivities

Purdue (7-4; 5-3 in B1G play) is preparing to finish their stout 2021 college football season at home on senior day versus Indiana (2-9; 0-8 in B1G play).

Two players that is taking part of Senior Day is star defensive end George Karlaftis and wide receiver David Bell, whose parents are on the field for Senior Day events. This means that Karlaftis and Bell will likely turn pro after the 2021 season.

Karlaftis is among one of the top-rated edge rushers for the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. Pro Football Network has him as the tenth best overall player after Week 10 of the season.

This season, Karlaftis has accounted for 36 total tackles, 26 solo tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 forced fumbles. In his freshman season in 2019, Karaftis accounted for 54 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.

This season, Bell has caught 87 receptions for 1,207 yards and five touchdowns.
