Report: Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno agrees to rich new contract

Ohio State is replacing coordinators left and right.
Michigan, on the other hand, is extending them left and right.
Days after agreeing to an extension with defensive coordinator Don Brown, the Wolverines locked down their leader on the other side of the ball.
According to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman, Michigan extended offensive coordinator Tim Drevno for five years. The deal will pay Drevno $1 million annually, joining Brown as the only two coordinators in the B1G to make seven figures annually.

Drevno was a key part of a Michigan offense that finished first in the B1G in scoring in 2016. Not only did the Wolverines finish with the best offense in the conference, they were ranked 11th nationally in scoring.
A longtime member on Jim Harbaugh’s staff, Drevno was with Harbaugh for 10 years before they reunited at Michigan.
Michigan ranked second in the B1G and 13th nationally in assistant coaches salaries in 2016. With raises in place for Brown and Drevno, the Wolverines will certainly be on the rise in that department in 2017.
