After a number of potential head coaching candidates stayed put, Lincoln Riley is reportedly making a big-time move to shake up the landscape of college football.
According to multiple sources, Riley is leaving Oklahoma and will be taking the open head coaching job for Southern California. After Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State, Riley shut down questions about whether or not he was heading to take the job at LSU.
That turns out not to be a lie, but he is still leaving the Sooners in the same year that Oklahoma and Texas announced they would be joining the SEC.

If he does indeed leave, Riley leaves the Sooners with a 55-10 overall record and 4 Big 12 titles under his belt. It will be interesting to see how this impacts Oklahoma and USC moving forward.
