Cleveland Browns confirm significant injury for former Michigan State OT

The Cleveland Browns got some bad news about one of their big signings from 2020.

It was revealed by ESPN’s Adam Shefter and confirmed by the Browns that the former Michigan State offensive lineman will be out for the rest of the season after tearing his patella tendon in the Week 12 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Guard Joel Bitonio commented on the loss of his teammate to the injury and how he can come back from this:

“I know he has the right makeup to come back from this, but it is one of those things where you never want to see a guy seriously hurt,” said Bitonio. “We know we play a dangerous game, but that was a tough one. He is in our thoughts right now, and we are hoping the surgery goes well and he can come back from that.”

Conklin attended Michigan State from 2012 to 2015. He was originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 2016 NFL Draft in the 1st round with the 8th overall pick. Conklin recently signed a 3-year $42 million dollar deal with Browns in March of 2020.

This will definitely hurt the Browns in the long run.
