Aidan Hutchinson is the B1G Championship Game Most Valuable Player.

The star defensive end from Michigan had an outstanding performance in Michigan’s 42-3 victory over Iowa inside Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday night. He was credited with 4 tackles, 1 sack and 7 quarterback pressures.

Even when he wasn’t racking up the statistics, Hutchinson was a problem. It was a culmination of what we’ve seen from the stalwart defensive end all season long.

Although his name didn’t pop up nationally as a Heisman Trophy contender, Hutchinson is very much in the running for college football’s greatest honor. He came up huge down the stretch in some of Michigan’s biggest games this season, particularly against Ohio State and Iowa.

Hutchinson ends the year with 14 sacks, a single-season record at Michigan. He’ll have a chance to improve on that total, as the Wolverines will be headed to the College Football Playoff.
