Indiana has lost some talent to the transfer portal this offseason. Now it looks to be losing ground on the recruiting trail.

QB Josh Hoover has decommitted from Indiana and give a verbal pledge to TCU. Hoover is a 3-star recruit in the Class of 2022 out of Rockwall, TX. Hoover is the No. 33 ranked QB nationally and No. 72 in Texas according to 247sports Composite Rankings.

Indiana’s 2022 recruiting class has 13 commits and is ranked 27th nationally and 6th in the B1G according to 247sports.com.

Indiana had an abysmal 2021 season as they only managed 2 wins and 0 in conference play. They finished with a 2-10 record and 0-9 in the B1G. The Hoosiers had high hopes for this season as they were preseason ranked in the AP Top-25 poll.

The season was derailed by injuries, specifically at the QB position, and the season took a turn for the worst. A season that started with promise ended with a nose-dive to a last-place finish in the B1G.
